We offer a range of vehicle inspections for members and non-members. An RAC expert can check your car, or one you are planning to buy, for a reasonable fee.

Inspections are thorough, unbiased and come with a detailed written report. Vehicle inspection reports are valuable if your car (new or used) is about to go out of warranty, has been repaired after an accident, or if you're planning a long trip. The report is available once payment for your inspection has been made.

On-site service

RAC operates a mobile, on-site inspection service for most vehicles in the Perth metropolitan area. Master checks and vehicle appraisals can be carried out at the seller's premises, or at your home.

Some vehicles cannot be inspected on-site. These include cars over 20 years old, 4WDs over 12 years old and some luxury and high performance vehicles. An inspection at our Balcatta workshop can be arranged for these cars.

Master check

This inspection involves a detailed external inspection of all mechanical, electrical and body components and comes with a 30-day mechanical warranty. Find out more about master checks.

Other vehicle inspections
